How much does it cost?
That depends on the package you choose. For a fee, you will get a set number of tasks. A task should take a maximum of about 20-30 minutes to complete. Unused tasks do not roll over and can't be used when the time is up. Subscriptions/bundles are valid for the purchased term and there is no obligation to renew.
How do I pay? How do I renew my subscription/bundle when the month is over?
Payments can be made with your credit card, Ukash, Instant EFT or PayFast vouchers (all through PayFast) or you can make a payment via EFT. Once you’ve subscribed, you’ll be able to get our bank details on the payment page of our website.
Can I subscribe at any time?
Yes, no need to wait for the start of a calendar month. Your subscription/bundle is valid for the stated term (30 or 60 days).
What if I run out of tasks before the end of the month?
We’re thinking about adding top-up tasks but that’s not yet available. In the meantime, please email feedback@lessfuss.co.za
Can I cancel?
You can definitely cancel (please see our terms). Please let us know by sending an email to feedback@lessfuss.co.za.
When and where do you do the work?
We're a small group of people dedicated to our business. At the moment, we'll officially work normal office hours, in Cape Town, during the week. But we're also often online and may work at odd times. So, if you send a request after hours, you could be pleasantly surprised.
What work won’t you do?
Our current focus is on desk-based tasks – i.e. those we can complete via the internet, phone or fax. We can’t do physical tasks (i.e. go somewhere on your behalf) or make payments. The best we can do for now is find someone who can do those things for you. For more about what we can and can’t do, see here.
Isn’t it “less fuss” to just do the task myself?
Just because a task is simple, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better to do it yourself. All those little “quick” things add up over your day and week. And it’s not just about saving time. It’s about saving yourself from interruptions, and allowing you to focus on what’s important. If you could get someone to do 10 of your tasks and they each took 30 minutes, you’re saving yourself 5 valuable hours you can use more productively on your work, your family, your friends or yourself.
What if you can’t do the task I submitted?
If, when you submit a task, we can tell straight away that it’s not something we do - for logistical or ethical reasons - we’ll let you know as soon as possible, and we won’t deduct a task credit from your account.
If, while we’re busy with your task, we discover that for logistical reasons that it’s something we aren’t able to do on your behalf (for example, the company you’ve asked us to contact refuses to deal with a third party with regards to your affairs), we’ll let you know, and we won’t deduct a task credit from your account.
If, however, completion of a task is hampered by a third party not providing us with feedback/response, we will follow up with this third party up to three times telephonically, via email or fax, after which we will consider the task completed to the best of our ability. In this instance, we will forward records of any communication and/or reference numbers to you for your reference, and we will deduct a task credit from your account.
What if I’m unhappy with the way the assistant handled my task?
We’d like to hear about it. You can email us on feedback@lessfuss.co.za. Please explain what your expectations are so that we can fix the problem.
Will I get the same assistant every time?
For now, there’s a pretty good chance that you will. But as our assistant pool grows, you’ll probably meet new assistants along the way. Tasks will be completed by whichever assistant is available at the time your task is submitted. In future, we hope to be able to offer dedicated assistant packages.
Can I share my subscription/bundle with my partner/friend/pet?
Our current package is an individual subscription/bundle only. Our ability to offer you relevant and useful service improves as we build up a profile of your needs. So if a friend or family member is interested in submitting tasks, please ask them to sign up for their own subscription/bundle. If your pet has its own email account, then that applies to it too. If not, well, then we’ll let that one slide.
